The Jeffrey Knudson Memorial Scholarship is established to financially assist prospective and/or current students of Billings Central Catholic High School. Specifically, it is intended to help families who might otherwise be unable to meet tuition costs to educate their child at the Billing Catholic Schools.
This scholarship is established in memory of Jeffrey Knudson, an eighth grader at St. Francis Upper at the time of his passing in 2009. Jeffrey was passionate about many things – sports, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, to name a few. Common to all the things Jeffrey was passionate about was his desire and eagerness to learn, whether it be honing the craft of tying a fly, learning a new basketball shot, or simply gaining knowledge about current events in the world. Jeffrey was dedicated to working hard to achieve goals set by himself and others. More importantly, Jeffrey was a kind-hearted young man who enjoyed helping others. He took pride in assisting others to learn a skill or to achieve a goal they had set for themselves. One of Jeffrey’s last assignments before his untimely passing was to write an inspirational speech. He chose to write about his experience helping a group of less fortunate residents of Billings.
The Jeffrey Knudson Memorial Scholarship is representative of Jeffrey’s giving spirit, his passion for life, and his love of learning. We hope his Scholarship will enable recipients to grow, learn, and enjoy all the opportunities afforded students through an education at the Billings Central Catholic High School.
