For the first time since 1956, RAMS baseball is back at your Billings Central Catholic High School starting spring of 2025!
As you know, baseball’s prior absence from Montana High School sports was glaring. Despite its decades-long absence, baseball has grown throughout our state through Little League, travel teams, and American Legion Baseball.
In 2022, recognizing baseball’s passionate community of players and families across the state, the Montana High School Association authorized baseball as an official sport for Montana high schools.
This allows students who cannot experience Legion Baseball to play baseball in the spring. Moreover, for students who can play Legion, this will augment their experience by allowing them to play additional games with their friends and classmates before the Legion season begins.
Of course, with any program expansion, there are initial start-up expenses to address, including uniforms, player and team gear, practice equipment, and facility needs.
90% of the $150,000 goal to fund the program’s first three years has been raised. This eases the burden for tuition-paying families. After this three-year period, the program’s operations will be sustained in the same manner as other RAMS athletic teams.
